IWAKI MX magnetic drive centrifugal pumps

The latest development status of IWAKI plastic pumps

IWAKI MX Magnetic drive centrifugal pumps
reliable & energy efficient

The IWAKI MX magnetic drive centrifugal pumps avoid internal leakages with their two-part front and rear housing (vortex chamber). The MX plastic pumps according to the latest state of development convince by the proven contactless system and the self-cooling construction, with increased efficiency and resistance against dry running. Iwaki MX process pumps rely on a robust system that can withstand difficult operating conditions but is still easy to maintain. With a double bearing shaft, the MX series can withstand cavitation or operation against closed valves. The MX centrifugal pumps are ideal for use in production processes conveying chemicals, pressure applications, spray applications or filtration. The MX pump version with carbon bearings can run dry for a short time.

Self-cooling construction (international patent pending)

Through the heat outlet holes between impeller and magnet capsule the medium circulates around the bearing and shaft. This ensures effective heat dissipation to prevent thermal deformation and material fusion (except MX-70, 100).

The dry running capability and efficiency of the previous models have been further improved..

  • An improved mechanical design allows operation under abnormal conditions and reduces both operating costs and maintenance requirements.

  • The two-part, spiral-shaped housing increases efficiency. (patent pending)

  • Simple design, robust and easy to maintainc

Contactless system

The innovative arrangement of the drive magnet and magnet capsule prevents contact between the rear ring and magnet capsule due to the magnetic force that occurs. This is guaranteed even with dry running. This design reduces heat generation and at the same time ensures the sliding ability of the individual components (except MX-70, 100)

Two-part spiral housing (international patent pending)

The first MX plastic magnetcentrifugal pumps series with two-part front and rear housings, which ideally form a vortex chamber. Therefore the phenomenon of internal leakage is avoided. The medium flowing out of the impeller and back into the pump casing is reduced to a minimum. Thus the medium is conveyed even more effectively to the discharge side. (except MX-70/400/505)

Rugged construction

All pressure-bearing parts, such as the front and rear housings, are reinforced with ribs. This increases the pressure resistance and the mechanical strength of the pump. The bearing is not only conventionally press-fitted, it also fits tightly into the magnet capsule and impeller. This ensures greater reliability at high temperatures. (except MX-70, 100) MX-402(H), 403(H) and 505 models: Detachable locking pins increase the safety of the impeller and magnet capsule in these models.
