Improved resistance to the most difficult operating conditions

Our unique self-cooling design (patented) efficiently dissipates the frictional heat of the bearing to protect the pump under the most difficult operating conditions. In addition, the non-contact system between the rear ring and bearing prevents excessive heat generation during dry running.

Greater flexibility of use

Due to the modular design of the SMX, liquids with high specific weight can be pumped.

Easy maintenance

The wetted parts can be removed as a complete unit thanks to the additional rear housing bracket. To allow easy maintenance, it consists of only a few individual parts.

Fast self-priming

The SMX pumps do not require additional external suction chambers or valves. The separation design for separating air and medium ensures fast priming. This allows up to 4 m suction height in only 90 seconds.

Rear housing bracket

By removing the 4 screws, the wet unit can be easily removed from the pump body.  The rear housing bracket thus guarantees easy maintenance as well as problem-free draining of the pump.

1 Fill the pump with the medium.

2 When starting the pump, the medium and air are sucked into the front chamber A and mixed by the impeller. This mixture is conveyed from the pump chamber Bin to the delivery chamber C, where the air is separated from the medium. The air escapes through the discharge side D while the medium remains in the suction chamber. Medium flows from the pump chamber C through the circulation hole E back to the front chamber, where it is again mixed with air by the impeller. This process is repeated until the air has been completely eliminated on the suction side F.

3 Once the air has been evacuated, the pump operates in "normal" mode. After a pump stop, there is always sufficient medium remaining in the suction chamber so that self-priming can be resumed without problems.
